The EPA’s interactive Chemical Safety for Sustainability (iCSS) “dashboard” has been updated to increase the information provided and the number of chemicals described. Anyone may use the dashboard to search for data derived from ToxCast and Tox21, as well as the EPA initiative ExpoCast. According to Monica Linnenbrink of the EPA the improvements may enable predictions of human exposure to particular chemicals in a class of consumer product. Users can search for data on about 8,000 chemicals by assay or by chemical. Graphics can be downloaded and used freely. Assay definitions have been enriched and publications are noted. The EPA is working on ways to combine data to assess the human health impacts of chemicals in a broad way, combining specific results to make more general conclusions.
