The upload feature of CloudSDS LMS is important because it allows organizations to easily upload and manage e-learning content from external providers, such as OSHA 10-Hour & 30-Hour Outreach Courses, in a cloud-based system accessible anytime and anywhere. While CloudSDS LMS allows you to upload your existing packages or any third-party SCORM packages, on the other hand, you can also use the same platform to create your own packages based on existing PowerPoint slides. Through this feature you can:

How It Works? 

The CloudSDS Learning Management System (LMS) Upload Feature empowers authors to create EHS courses with a seamless, intuitive way to create engaging SCORM-compliant e-learning content from commonly used file formats. This feature supports uploading Microsoft PowerPoint, LibreOffice Impress presentations, Word documents, PowerPoints, PDF files, and more, enabling effortless conversion of training materials into dynamic e-learning modules.

With CloudSDS LMS, Authors can upload lessons in various popular formats. Upon uploading, each page or slide is automatically converted into an image, visible clearly in the Designer or Library screens. The system also extracts text from each slide, providing this as editable “Narration” text, which Authors can refine for clarity and correctness. This narration serves as the foundation for text-to-speech conversion, allowing creation of audio narration seamlessly within the platform.

Authors have the flexibility to replace the automatically generated audio narration with their own recordings while retaining the original text for backup—ensuring high-quality multimedia presentations. The platform supports easy editing of slides by allowing replacement of images, addition of audio or video attachments, and insertion of new slides including quizzes to enhance learner engagement.

The Upload Feature includes advanced tools to add Image, Video, or Quiz slides. Quiz slides allow multiple question types such as multiple choice, matching, fill-in-the-blank, essay, and ordering quizzes, enabling robust learner assessment integrated directly into training modules.

Uploaded presentations are organized in convenient Card and List Views with quick actions to launch the Designer for editing or to delete content. Authors can preview slides, rearrange their order via drag-and-drop, and download the complete SCORM package for administrative use or further LMS deployment. 

How to Get Started? 

Our upload feature enables the smooth uploading of SCORM packages (for training employees) through an easy process that supports multiple content formats, including Microsoft PowerPoint, as well as third-party SCORM packages. The typical streamlined workflow involves the following steps, in the LMS interface: 

  • Enter Edit Mode on an EHS course page to gain permission to modify the course. 
  • Select the course where new content will be added. 
  • Choose to add an activity or resource and select the option for uploading a SCORM package (industry-standard format). 
  • Drag and drop or browse to upload the SCORM e-learning file onto the platform. 
  • Fill in the necessary details, such as course title, description, and resource settings. 
  • Save and return to the course, making the content available to learners immediately. 

This process ensures easy integration of high-quality, interactive training content into the LMS, enhancing the learning experience while reducing administrative efforts for trainers and instructional designers.

They have full permission to manage the platform, including uploading, editing, and deleting courses. 

✔ Course Creators & Content Managers:

Specific roles assigned permission to create and upload EHS course content.

Depending on organizational settings, they may have limited permissions to upload or update courses relevant to their teams. 

✔ Other Custom Roles:

Organizations can create tailored permission groups that grant upload access only to specific users.
