The current GHS Purple book, a reference released in July of 2017 by the UN Globally Harmonized System for Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) includes changes for some types of hazardous materials.

 

  • Definitions for some human health risks are updated
  • The criteria for some flammable materials are refined
  • Precautions for disposal/recovery/recycling of explosive materials are to be discovered through manufacturers
  • Some changes to labelling of materials are specified
